J. Johnson Executive Search, Inc. has been retained by Frost Brown Todd LLC to recruit a Chief Business Development Officer (CBDO). Frost Brown Todd LLC is an Am Law 200 firm with approximately 500 lawyers practicing in 12 offices across 8 states. The CBDO will lead the Firm’s business development, client relations and marketing strategies with a focus on driving top line growth of profitable revenue from new and existing clients. The Firm is committed to its current strategic plan and is seeking a professional who can lead the team to develop programs and initiatives that will poise the firm to achieve its objectives.

The ideal candidate has an acute business acumen with the ability to think strategically and develop infrastructure platforms that will enable the team to execute seamlessly. An exceptional leader and manager of people, the successful candidate will be a highly effective communicator with a demonstrated strength in building highly collaborative relationships with partners, staff, peers and within the community. Candidates must be able to articulate how their past experiences have shaped their approach and outlook on coaching, problem solving and moving the needle. A minimum of 10 years of marketing/business development experience in a large, multi-office professional services firm, preferably a law firm, is required. Demonstrated success in building, developing and managing a dispersed team is essential. A Bachelor’s degree is required; a JD, MBA or other advanced degree is a plus. Travel is required. The position is based in either Louisville or Cincinnati; ho wever, the firm is accepting candidates from other geographical locations.
