Job Description:

Sullivan & Worcester, a 175-lawyer firm based in Boston, is looking for a Business Development Coordinator based in Boston but supporting activities in all of the firm’s offices (New York, Washington, DC, London and Tel Aviv). 

The ideal candidate will demonstrate enthusiasm and a drive for developing new marketing initiatives with our Marketing team and attorneys, and will have excellent communication and follow-up skills. The ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment is essential, as is the ability to multi-task and prioritize.

Responsibilities:

• Develop strong, collaborative relationships with firm’s lawyers in order to help them grow their business.
• Assist PGLs and individual attorneys with thought-leadership initiatives.
• Assist in developing and overseeing practice group marketing budgets to work within the Firm revenue budget.
• Draft submissions for Chambers USA, Legal 500 and other directories and rankings submissions.
• Working with the Marketing Team, PGLs and individual lawyers identify and implement actions to increase rankings and firm recognition.
• Actively participate in practice group meetings; report regularly to PGLs on the group’s initiatives and results.
• Organize and manage client/prospect and other events in addition to seminars/webinars/CLEs.
• Assist in drafting pitches, proposals and RFPs.
• Manage client and prospect mailing lists.
• Assist with social media and email marketing campaigns.
• Update and maintain the firm's attorney biographies and other related practice group information.
• Manage the execution of client advisories, blog posts and other communications.

Specific Requirements

• BA or equivalent required
• Successful candidates will have 2+ years experience at a law firm or professional services firm in a similar role.
• Knowledge of Environment and Energy practice areas a plus.
• Excellent communication and writing skills with strong attention to detail.
• Pro-active self-starter who needs minimal supervision.
• Experience using PowerPoint, InDesign and digital marketing tools.
• Upbeat, enthusiastic, cheerful personality.
