The Industry/Service Line Senior Marketing Manager is a key member of the firm-wide marketing team focused on the top-line growth and development of a designated portfolio of major industry and/or service line practices. The Senior Manager serves these practices as major internal “client accounts,” managing the relationship and leading the development and execution of firm-wide, practice-specific marketing plans. This role ensures that firm strategies, resources, programs and tools are effectively deployed throughout the practices and across the matrix organization. 

In this role you will:

*Develop strategic and tactical marketing plans and budgets for designated practices, manage successful implementation, ensuring initiatives stay on strategy, on time and on budget.

*Gather, analyze and communicate target market intelligence to support growth strategies (e.g., competitive intelligence, industry statistics and trends (internal and external), target client identification, etc.).

*Act as resource to the firm for practice-specific marketing knowledge, content, tools and support.

*Monitor, summarize and report regularly on key marketing performance metrics.

*Understand thoroughly the firm’s brand and how it translates to the audiences of designated practices. Help ensure proper, consistent and effective implementation across all touch-points.

*Maintain working knowledge of the industry practice’s services and how they benefit clients. Ensure that a clear, compelling and relevant value proposition is articulated in marketing communications.

*Contribute to development of new service offerings and lead development and execution of related go-to-market plans.

*Plan and manage the marketing content and messaging strategies for designated practices and ensure it is kept current and deployed strategically across all appropriate channels (e.g., web, proposals, collateral, advertising, email, and social media). 

*Coordinate thought leadership/knowledge sharing initiatives including related editorial calendars and channels. Identify and assess key channels for practice development opportunities. 

*Maintain relationships with key channel marketing contacts and work with channel partner to develop marketing plans to materialize revenue growth opportunities through the channel relationship.

*Work with practice leaders to facilitate regular practice development discussions, prepare pipeline and campaign summary reports and promote proper use of CRM for tracking of key marketing and sales activity.

*Acquire, maintain and strategically segment in CRM all target marketing lists for the designated practices. Manage integrated campaigns, monitor results and ensure campaign responses, trade show leads, post-seminar inquiries, etc. are captured in CRM. Promote proper and timely follow up, track leads through the sales process and analyze lead source effectiveness.

*Support major pursuits and proposals for the designated practice by providing strategic guidance, research assistance and project management of administrative document support. Maintain practice-specific proposal archives and content in proposal automation system.

*Develop and maintain inventory of marketing materials and tools relevant to targets of the designated practices and ensure compliance with applicable brand, messaging and quality standards.

Required Skills

*Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of marketing experience, preferably in professional services and/or designated practices
*Strategic thinker with excellent project management and organizational skills
*Strong business acumen with ability to understand and communicate the firm’s business, strategies and value proposition
*Proven success in planning and management of result-oriented, integrated marketing programs
*Ability to handle multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment and manage work of others to accomplish results
*Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills; able to interface effectively with firm leaders
*Strong writing and editing skills; ability to address complex business issues with benefit-oriented messaging
*Technically savvy; proficient with Microsoft Office suite; experience with digital marketing and database platforms
*Strong team and interpersonal skills; able to interface collaboratively across matrix organization
*Driven self-starter with a proactive approach to serving professionals at all levels in a client-oriented environment
