Overview
Strothman and Company, a Top 3 Louisville Based CPA Firm, is seeking a Marketing Manager.The Marketing Manager will play a key role in growing the practice and contributing to the diverse growth of the CPA firm. This person will play a major role in developing and implementing best practices in marketing, sales support and niche development for the firm. As a position supported by forward thinking management, the successful candidate will truly aid in the positive growth while enhancing the professionalism and image of the firm.

Job Skills/Requirements
The successful candidate will be looked upon as forward thinking in all aspects of sales support, traditional marketing and new and existing product management. This opportunity will afford the selected individual an opportunity to be mentored by proven business leaders, add value to the firm, be recognized for adding value and be intellectually challenged by the current and future requirements of the job including:

Overall Growth

Support execution of the firms strategic growth plans.
Coordinating data gathering and meaningful analysis of financial information so as to supply firm leaders with statistics related to the growth of the firm. This includes external market research and internal financial information.
Identifying and recommending resources accomplish objectives.
Assisting with the preparation and oversight of the marketing budget.

Marketing

Taking responsibility to develop and maintain the firms databases of clients, prospects, distribution channels, news media and referrals.
Implement marketing programs and initiatives to support unique marketing communications segment strategies to drive growth. Tie segment level strategies to an overall firm-wide communications strategy. These include:
o Taking leadership of social media programs, including thought leadership identified in segment initiatives.
o Working with outside vendors on the development of marketing communications, including website.
o Execute segment specific, as well as firm-wide external seminars and other events.
o Guide and support segment specific, as well as firm-wide initiatives in speaking, articles, white papers and other thought leadership of the professionals.
o Drive appropriate market research to support growth strategies.
o Guide segment leaders and others to develop an understanding of competitors. Help them assess and monitor competitors and their activities.

Business Development

Helping with the implementation and ongoing use of the pipeline process.
Assisting partners in getting appropriate resources for landing opportunities.
Supporting and manage the development of proposals.
Developing, implementing and monitoring activities to ensure client loyalty and the core revenue stream. Driving processes to enhance the relationship with long-term large clients.
Developing and implementing processes that generate a consistent flow of meaningful articles and white papers written by partners and other members of the firm.
Supporting the firms sales processes including but not limited to training, coaching and other activities that drive profitable revenue.

Product Management (Industry/Service Line Program)

Guiding and supporting the segment leaders in implementing the segment program.
Insuring that segment leader recommended investments are in alignment with segment strategies.

Education Requirements
– Bachelor's Degree

Additional Information/Benefits
Education, Experience and Skills Required

A bachelor degree in business, marketing or related area. Advanced degrees or special training in marketing is a plus.
3-5 years of experience, preferably in a professional services or general commercial environment.
A total compensation package starting in the low $50,000 range.
Proven experience in support of sales, traditional marketing activities and product management (at least 2 of the 3 disciplines).
A change agent with proven ability to bring new ideas, concepts and processes to a traditional environment that has not been exposed to growth best practices.
Ability to persuasively communicate and sell new concepts and process to all levels within the firm.
Ability to establish credibility and be decisive, but able to recognize and support the firm preferences and priorities.
Results and profit-oriented with the ability to balance other business considerations.
Strong analytical and reasoning abilities.
Participative management style, advocates team concept.
High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with normal activities.
Superior numeric skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to operate a computer and all general office equipment.
Must possess excellent planning, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills along with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Extremely client service-oriented and client-focused.

Work Hours:
Eligible candidates must be available to work Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, some evenings and/or early mornings (7 am) for events, and must be able to work Saturdays from 8 am to 2 pm during peak season of late January through April 15th.
