Position Summary
As a marketing professional, we are seeking you to become a part of an evolving mindset of continued growth at Wipfli LLP. Our mindset is focused on putting you into the position of a key contributor to the success of our leaders, partners, associates and clients.
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will need to be accountable for the firm's brand on a national level, marketing the firms' industries and services, by understanding the needs of our clients. Self-accountable for a collaborative working relationship with leaders, partners and all associates. The success, and self-accountability, comes in the context of a highly competitive professional services industry, and a firm that has rapidly expanded in services and geographies over the past three years, with continued growth planned through 2020.
Key Indicators of Success
• Leveraging the voice of client research and partner insights to reshape Wipfli's brand message differentiating the firm from competitors in growth industries and key geographies.
• Integrate industry specific marketing plans with the overall firm goals for growth.
• Oversee and facilitate the creation of regional marketing plans that serve firm growth goals.
• Leverage a CRM system to generate inquiries, score leads and nurture prospect relationships.
• Facilitate internal marketing initiatives to educate and empower partners with market insights.
Overall Responsibilities
• Oversee marketing activities
• Create and lead a collaborative growth/marketing team
• Build and sustain a national brand for B to B which links to the firm's business strategies
Key Firm Collaborators & Accountability
Our mindset is focused on understanding our key collaborators and how to make them successful in their business objectives. These key collaborators are;
Marketing Team: Sr. Marketing Account Manager(s), Sr. Demand Gen / Digital, and other marketing professionals
• Leadership to internal marketing/growth staff
• Active Ambassador throughout the firm
Growth Partner: one of eight senior partners at Wipfli leading the growth of the firm.
• Refine and execute a dynamic marketing plan
• Collaborate with the leadership team members
• Assist in building and aligning a relationship focused sales team that supports the firm's go to market strategies
• Support Client Experience initiatives
Clients: all existing and prospective clients of the firm.
• Understand the current and future needs of our clients and align marketing plans to create a national brand.
• Communicate the voice of the client through the marketing plans to assist in the achievement of demand and revenue generation targets.
M&A Partner: one of eight senior partners at Wipfli focused on the expansion of the firm through mergers and acquisitions.
• Work with M&A Partner on strategies to synced merged in brands
• Support mergers with a strong national brand
Industries, Geographic Markets, Service line leaders, partners and associates
• Align resources for growth councils/communities of practices
• Support go to market strategies and business development efforts including data driven resources
• Shape market strategies that deliver localized growth while maintaining a national brand
• Be a connector or bridge between the geographic markets as to consistent yet localized branding and marketing
• Support product development
• Work collaboratively with LT in creating, sharing, and delivering organizational change
• Actively participate in growth leadership calls
• Support the firm financial planning relating to growth
• Foster creativity and innovation
• Create and sustain a proactive relationship with Partners
Talent and Culture Teams
• Collaborate on internal communications
• Support branding of internal initiatives in a similar manner as external initiatives
• Partner with talent acquisition strategies to support the continued growth needs of the firm

• Requires a Bachelors Degree in Business; Marketing emphasis preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• An MBA would be preferred.
• 10+ years proven experience in a strategic marketing and brand capacity, including a track record within positions of increasing responsibility.
• Comprehensive marketing and business development skills, including broad reach advertising to highly targeted growth programs.
• Proven experience in the use of technology as a marketing and communication medium to increase revenues in a cost effective manner.
• Strong experience in digital and social media marketing.
• Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to link business development, market strategy and results to the strategic financial goals.
• Relocation package may be available to the Chicago area.
