Job Description:
Bond, Schoeneck & King is accepting applications for a Business Development Manager in our Marketing Department in our Syracuse office. This position will work with practice and industry groups to identify business development opportunities and implement business development/marketing plans. Duties include but are not limited to: evaluating event-related activities (conferences, seminars, sponsorships, speaking opportunities) and providing oversight and assistance on planning/execution/follow-up; recommending, developing and managing initiatives that support, encourage and accelerate practice and industry group growth/success; working with the Director of Marketing and group leadership to develop new service “products” by identifying core strengths, competitive differentiators and client value propositions. The Business Development Manager will supervise Marketing staff in our Buffalo and New York City offices. A four-year degree in Marketing, Communications or other business degree is preferred. A Business/Marketing Master’s degree is a plus. Candidates must have a minimum of eight years in marketing, sales or related experience, preferably in a professional services environment; experience developing client development/sales plans; ability to effectively manage teams; be a self-starter, think creatively, and exercise independent judgment at a high level.
