J. Johnson Executive Search has been retained by Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice LLP (Womble Carlyle) to recruit a Director of Client Services to be based in their Atlanta, GA office. A full-service business law firm, Womble Carlyle serves a wide range of regional, national and international clients in industries that include health care, life sciences, financial services, commercial real estate, intellectual property/patent, and telecommunications, as well as educational institutions and governmental bodies and agencies. Established in 1876, Womble is now comprised of 550 lawyers in 15 offices in the Southeast and California who think globally.

The Director of Client Services will serve as a key advisor to the firm’s Partners in Atlanta and will work closely with the broader client services and marketing team to achieve goals that are aligned with the firm’s strategic objectives. Specifically, the Director will assist the lawyers in Atlanta in developing a viable business development plan and will develop an in-depth understanding of the local client base in order to spot opportunities for lawyers to provide additional services, share thought-leadership content and otherwise develop relationships.
The successful candidate will be a natural connector of people and ideas who will demonstrate expertise and accomplishment in the following areas:

• Cultivating relationships that will ultimately prove beneficial in equipping, encouraging, motivating and propelling lawyers to expand their business and improve relationships with buyers;
• Coaching lawyers on their personal brand including preparing and leading lawyers in efforts to establish their visibility in proper channels; and
• Engaging in active listening, diagnosing and problem solving for both the short and long term.

We are seeking qualified professionals who possess an outgoing disposition and exercise sound judgment with a demonstrated interest in selling professional services. Candidates must have a solid understanding and past experience with CRM and pipeline management.
Ideal candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of consulting, training and/or coaching experience in sophisticated professional services delivery, sales, and client services. A graduate degree is preferred but not required.
