Looking for an experienced level marketing role at an energetic & passionate company? GRF CPAs & Advisors, a Bethesda, MD CPA Firm is in search of a full time Marketing Specialist to join our team.
Summary of Responsibilities
The Marketing Specialist assists the Marketing Director with implementing GRF’s marketing strategy by assisting with the planning, implementation and administration of marketing and business development tactics including firm-hosted events and webinars, conference participation, strategic sponsorships, website updates, collateral design, targeted communications, digital marketing campaigns and the distribution of thought leadership content. He or she also serves as the firm’s webmaster implementing content updates including imagery, website copy, articles, blog posts and biography revisions. He or she works closely with other members of the Marketing Department and other firm stakeholders to assist with marketing initiatives and projects. The Marketing Specialist is a team player who is also self-motivated and can work independently with minimum supervision while balancing multiple projects and responsibilities. He or she also develops new business proposals as needed.
Coordinates all marketing event logistics for webinars, seminars, social events, podcasts, etc. and serves as the point of contact for firm-branded events. Works with the Marketing Team to track and analyze ROI.
Serves as the firm’s webmaster providing website maintenance and content updates including service/specialty copy, firm news, articles, blog posts, staff bio updates. Also provides implementation and support of SEO strategy and website analytics.
Manages off-site sponsorship events and conferences including attendance, collateral and trade show booth management, post-event follow up and ROI measurement.
Develops new advertisements and marketing collateral as needed to support marketing and business development initiatives.
Serves as a backup for social media and digital marketing platforms to schedule posts, monitor feedback/response and tracks results. Monitors social media presence across digital channels including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube and provides optimization recommendations.
Records and edits video projects to support Marketing-related activities
Coordinates vendor contracts, manages event budgets and nurtures vendor relationships
Tracks key metrics digital and social channels for reporting purposes
Assists with client and prospect data capture for the firm’s Client Relationship Management (CRM) System.
Education and Experience Required
Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field
3-5 years of combined marketing and administrative experience
Event, website, social media, communications, graphic design and project coordination experience
Experience with marketing automation software
Experience using web analytics tools including Google Analytics for the purposes of tracking campaign results
Familiarity with CRM software platforms
Demonstrated Skill and Ability Requirements
Proficiency in the Microsoft suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and well as Adobe InDesign and Photoshop
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Strong writing and analytical skills for development of effective copy related to advertisements, website updates, social media and marketing collateral
Ability to develop and maintain effective business relationships
Excellent problem-solving research, organizational, project coordination and detail-oriented skills
Strong technical and problem solving capabilities that lend to improving efficiency
Ability to work independently, utilize good judgment and prioritize tasks
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and timelines
Ability to work well with diverse personalities at all levels in an organization and function as valuable contributor to a professional services marketing team
