AAM Announces Rhonda Clark as Next Executive Director

Lexington, KY, November 5, 2021
– The Association for Accounting Marketing (AAM) is excited to announce the naming of Rhonda Clark as the Association’s newest Executive Director. She will officially commence her role as Executive Director on January 1, 2022 and is excited to help make AAM an even stronger association in her new role.

Clark brings a wealth of operations and association management experience to AAM, including more than 20 years in public relations, business development, marketing, and meeting management. For the past three years, Clark has served as AAM’s association manager handling the day-to-day operations of the organization. Clark is part of AMR Management Services, AAM’s accredited association management company, which began managing AAM in October 2018.

“Elevating Rhonda’s role within AAM was a very organic decision,” stated Katie Butler Cohodes, AAM President. “AMR has been an excellent partner and has played an integral part in helping us grow the organization and develop new programs over the last three years. As AAM’s association manager, Rhonda was already executing many of the points in the Executive Director job description. Rhonda knows our organization like the back of her hand. We all enjoy working with her and know her new role will allow her – and AAM – to make even more strategic alliances within the accounting industry.”

“It’s an exciting time for AAM as we move forward in this next chapter as the home for growth professionals in the accounting industry,” said Clark. “While the pandemic has been challenging, it made us think creatively – how to transition to more virtual offerings, offer new engagement and networking opportunities, and most importantly, how to listen and meet the needs of those we serve. One of the most important roles I can play as AAM’s new Executive Director is to listen to this community’s needs by developing new programs and services to grow the organization as well as develop and manage relationships with our strategic partners and allied organizations.”

The executive director will play an integral role in overseeing the administration, programs and strategic plan for the organization. Clark’s first mandate will be to oversee and assist the Executive Committee in the execution of AAM’s Vision 2025 Strategic plan. She is already hard at work planning and creating new strategic alliance for the association to assist in its future growth.

Lauren Clemmer retired as the AAM Executive Director in January of 2020, leaving the roll unfilled until now.
