Schlegelmilch Named AAM’s 2022 Marketer of the Year
Louisville, Ky (May 3, 2022) – Allison Schlegelmilch, director of marketing at RKL LLP, has received the Association for Accounting Marketing’s (AAM) 2022 Marketer of the Year award. The winner was announced on May 2 at AAM’s Annual Summit.
In her role at RKL, Schlegelmilch leads the firm’s brand visibility, awareness and engagement strategies. Leading a team of nine marketing professionals, she oversees branding, advertising, public relations, content strategy and social media, events and new service marketing.
In her seven years as Director of Marketing, Schlegelmilch transformed RKL’s brand from that of a regional accounting firm to a nationally recognized professional services leader. She has a demonstrable record of success generating demand for RKL’s specialized advisory services, entering new geographic markets and burnishing the firm’s credentials in industry verticals.
In 2021, Schlegelmilch elevated the RKL brand message with a bold new branding campaign; led her team’s efforts to implement and adopt a new marketing automation and CRM solution; lent her unique perspective to the firm’s Strategic Plan; and oversaw merger communications, brand integration and marketing onboarding for two mergers in November 2021 and January 2022.

Schlegelmilch joined RKL in November 2012 as communications manager and was promoted to director of marketing in 2015. She previously served as a PR and marketing consultant for the technology, real estate and professional services industries. Schlegelmilch is a Certified Digital Marketing Professional and a Professional Certified Marketer. In addition to AAM, she is also a member of the American Marketing Association.
Schlegelmilch’s commitment to servant leadership extends beyond the firm to make a positive impact on her community. She serves on the board of directors and executive committee for Leadership Lancaster, an organization that prepares individuals for community, civic and professional leadership. She also contributes her time as a communications advisory committee member of Hospice and Community Care, a Lancaster-based nonprofit providing hospice and end-of-life care throughout Central Pennsylvania.
