August 9, 2019 | LEXINGTON, KY – The Association for Accounting Marketing (AAM), the leading trade association committed to providing educational opportunities for marketing and business development professionals in the accounting industry, has announced upcoming programming. Through these educational events, AAM is dedicated to developing expertise in key industry topics including mergers & acquisitions, effective business development training for team members and the market research value of surveys.

“Following on the heels of some fantastic educational experiences at this summer’s ENGAGE conference,” said Lauren Clemmer, AAM’s executive director, “AAM continues to offer outstanding opportunities for members to enhance their skills and expertise.”

Below is a list of programs offered through the third quarter of 2019, incorporating two 45-minute virtual campfire events that deliver quick, deep, glimpses into mergers and acquisitions and the value of surveys, and an extended AAM High session devoted to how to effectively build a business development training program.

Membership is required for most of these programs, but non-members, including media, are invited to consider attending as well.

August 21 | Virtual Campfire: Mergers & Acquisitions
The last decade has seen a high volume of M&A activity in the accounting industry, which can bring its own challenges and opportunities to our marketing and business development. What is happening in your market, how has your firm been involved, and what have all the unique considerations been before, during and after the merger?

August 27 | AAM High!: Build Your Ideal Business Development Training Program
When creating a Business Development (BD) training program, as a BD or Marketing Professional, you must first identify the desired outcome. For example, are you hoping to give everyone a little boost in skills like relationship building, networking and referral development? Are you trying to help your senior managers build a book of business? Perhaps you’re trying to help existing partners become better at acquiring new business? Only once you’ve clearly identified your objective(s) will you be in the prime position to build the program that your firm needs to grow a business development culture. In this AAM High! Art Kuesel will share the most important considerations in building an ideal training program, empowering you to immediately begin working toward your firm’s Business Development objective(s).

September 18 | Virtual Campfire: Surveys
Surveys are as much a communication science as they are a tool. Whether conducting client satisfaction, gaining internal feedback, or spanning an industry, marketing teams have used these in a variety of ways to collect important data. Let's talk about how your firm is using surveys, and what important insights have been gained.

Beyond these noted sessions, AAM has scheduled additional programming throughout the rest of 2019.

The association also offers other high-quality resources and learning materials for accounting marketers and business developers including the AAMplify! Podcast, the AAM Minute, a monthly electronic newsletter, and Growth Strategies, the quarterly journal of accounting marketing and sales thought leadership.
