Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting

December 18, 2019 | LEXINGTON, KY - The Association for Accounting Marketing (AAM), the leading trade association committed to providing educational opportunities and professional support for marketing and business development professionals in the accounting industry, announces that eleven AAM members have been named to the Accounting Today "Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting" list.

The list is published annually to recognize individuals who make significant contributions to the accounting profession. As Accounting Today notes, the candidates for this year’s list reflect a constantly changing industry. With technology playing an increasingly important role in accounting, and an innovative resurgence in the audit field, the 2019 list recognizes both familiar and fresh faces in the industry.  

“Making a difference, no matter how big or small, creates change,” said Lauren Clemmer, AAM’s executive director, who was named to Accounting Today’s list for the fourth consecutive year. “I am so proud to work with a group of devoted thought leaders who are so passionate about the work we do and the ongoing advancement in the accounting industry.”

The following eleven AAM members join Clemmer on this year’s list:

The influencers on this year’s list are actively bringing innovation to the forefront and driving growth for members throughout the organization. Among the list, 11% of leaders are in the AAM community. AAM members are well positioned to find ongoing professional growth and support from those on this list and other key individuals from major firms. This year, the association added 178 new members, taking its membership total to 729. Moreover, 49 of the firms named to Accounting Today's "Top 100 CPA Firm" list include AAM members among their ranks.
