Using her firm’s activities during the recent COVID-19 pandemic as her example, Debra will review the fundamentals for internal communications when the unexpected occurs, give practical examples of ways to engage teams and manage when the goalposts shift, and discuss how to transition back to the “new normal” when the initial crisis has passed.

Previously, Debra served as the Global Marketing Director for PrimeGlobal, one of the top 5 largest international trade association of accounting firms in the world. In that role, Debra facilitated communication between member firms globally, led development of key special interest groups in the areas of marketing and leadership, grew membership, and created communications designed to increase the PrimeGlobal’s stature among international public accounting associations. Debra holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degree in Journalism from the University of Georgia. She was named one of Georgia’s Outstanding Women in Print Journalism and also received numerous writing awards from professional organizations, including PRSA and IABC.
