AAM Hires Executive Director

Forest Hill, Maryland – June 2, 2015 – The Association for Accounting Marketing (AAM) is pleased to announce that Lauren Clemmer has been named as its Executive Director.  Lauren comes to AAM from Ciuni & Panichi, Inc., where she was the head of marketing more than eight years.  In her role as marketer, Lauren was responsible for not only leading the firm’s marketing efforts but working with staff and partners on helping to sharpen their business development skills. 

Lauren’s prior experience contributed to her being a good fit for this role.  Her background includes working on the management team for a local nonprofit that supports manufacturers, as well as more than 20 years in sales and marketing of technology solutions and services.

Lauren has been a long-time volunteer for AAM, serving on the organization’s Membership Satisfaction Committee and most recently most recently as the co-chair of the Virtual Education Committee.  These experiences will serve her well in her new role as she builds strategy to increase member engagement and satisfaction as well as increase the membership as a whole. “In her roles on various committees, Lauren has done a great job of welcoming new members to our organization and has worked tirelessly to ensure member value is enhanced through education.  We are thrilled to have someone with a strong knowledge of AAM operations assuming the role of Executive Director.  We encourage AAM members to reach out to her with thoughts and suggestions on furthering our mission,” stated Kerry Sullivan-Lechner, AAM’s current Board President.

In accepting the position Lauren stated, “I am pleased to be able to give back to the organization that has given so much to me, and I look forward to continuing the work to elevate the professional stature of marketing, business development and other practice growth professionals at all career levels.”
