CPA Practice Advisor has announced its annual list of The Most Powerful Women in Accounting. This year’s list includes three women who will be featured speakers at the 2016 Association for Accounting Marketing (AAM) Summit in New Orleans; Bonnie Buol Ruszczyk, Gale Crosley and Sally Glick.

“We are thrilled to have three of the top women in the accounting profession as part of our 2016 AAM Summit,” said Lauren Clemmer, executive director of the Association for Accounting Marketing. “These women are setting an incredible example for their peers and we are excited to hear the messages they will present to our members and attendees at next year’s Summit.”

The annual CPA Practice Advisor list recognizes women professionals who have had the most impact on the profession, whether through day-to-day client service as a partner or senior member of an accounting practice, or by mentoring and guiding others. Nominations were open to the public on CPA Practice Advisor’s website and the final selection was determined by the publication’s editorial staff and advisory board.

The awards were announced and presented at The Sleeter Group’s 2015 Accounting Solutions Conference, held November 16 through 19 in Las Vegas. A complete list of winners can be found by clicking here.

Of this year’s winners presenting at the 2016 AAM Summit, Buol Ruszczyk and Glick are leading a Project Session on Creating a Marketing Plan. Creating marketing plans is a frequent topic on AAM Connect, AAM’s member listserve, with members looking for templates.

During their interactive, two-part session, Buol Ruszczyk and Glick will discuss the key components of strong firm and niche marketing plans. Attendees will have the chance to work through the framework of their own plan while getting guidance from the experienced facilitators.

Crosley will present Driving World-Class Growth. In this session, Crosley will review the convergence of market dynamics such as market maturity, intense competition, globalization, technology, regulation, standards and succession, requiring firms to use a more sophisticated growth approach. This is not an incremental change, but rather a shift from an old model to a new growth model.

Registration for the 2016 AAM Summit, which will be held May 3-6, will open in January. For information on sponsorship opportunities, click here.
