Job Description: 

The Director of Growth’s role is to lead the firm’s practice growth initiatives as part of the firm’s management team. The Director works closely with the firm’s partners in developing the overall business development strategies to support the strategic plan of the firm.

Duties and Responsibilities
* Setting the business development strategies and aligning them with the firm’s goals
* Developing firm-wide sales pipelines and managing regular pipeline meetings with all resources
* Managing and reporting on the firm’s sales pipeline to keep the rest of the partner group informed as to the outlook of new revenue generation in the firm
* Working with niche or service line leaders to identify and implement marketing and sales programs to achieve their goals
* Conducting external market research and analyzing internal financial information to supply firm leaders with data related to the growth of the firm
* Identifying, implementing and maintaining the customer relationship management or contact management software and appropriate processes throughout the firm
* Enhancing the sales and marketing culture of the firm
* Working with the partners and key leaders to support the growth strategies of the firm
* Training and coaching professionals in the firm on best practices for growth
* Increasing overall visibility of the firm in its major markets and industries
* Developing programs to enhance client satisfaction and retention
* Developing and implementing cross-selling initiatives
* Developing and ensuring consistency with a firm-wide sales process
* Directing the development of new services and packaging and pricing of current services
* Assisting with the development and presentation of proposals
* Bringing partners and others with technical expertise and specialized knowledge into the sales process at the appropriate points
* Coordinating outside marketing activities as assigned
* Directing appropriate PR and other branding activities

Required Education, Experience, and Skills
* A bachelor’s degree in marketing, business development, or similar field is required, MBA preferred
* Minimum of five years of demonstrated sales and marketing experience in a professional services firm
* Ability to establish credibility and be decisive, but able to recognize and support the partnership’s preference and priorities through a team concept
* Willingness and ability to travel to multiple offices and meet with partners and employees throughout the firm
* Ability to operate a computer and all general office equipment
* Excellent planning, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
